Gram-positive bacteria

Bacteria with a thick cell wall and a multi-layered murein. They stain dark-blue during Gram staining. Gram-positive bacteria are primarily cocci and are exotoxic. Examples of Gram-positive bacteria: Listeria, Streptococci and Staphylococci.
