	Lactic-acid bacteria or Lactobacilli (sing. lactobacillus) are anaerobic microorganisms which are Gram-positive. We found them in the gut or mucosa of mammals, and they are primarily used in the manufacture of dairy products (e.g. cheese or yoghurt).
