Conjunctivitis

Conjunctivitis is a painful inflammation of the mucous membrane lining the eyelids and white of the eye, also known as “pink eye”. Conjunctivitis can be cause by an infection, an allergy or a mechanical irritation of the eyes (e.g. by contact lenses).
