Infrared radiation

Infrared radiation (IR) is an electromagnetic radiation with longer wavelengths than visible light but shorter than the so-called terahertz radiation range (i.e. between 780 nm to 1000 µm). The thermal IR radiation range lies between 3 µm and 50 µm.
